Hunts CAMRA gives these annual awards to publicans whom CAMRA sees as ideal role models for their fellow pub operators, in promoting the same values in local pubs as those that are promoted by CAMRA itself – well-presented ranges of real ales of varied styles including dark beers, local-brewed beers that qualify pubs for inclusion in our ‘locale’ scheme, and the provision of a valuable focus for the local community.
