Regular beers: Sharp's Doom Bar

See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The elegant Hardwicke Arms has as its origins in the 13th century, but is largely an 18th century coaching inn. It is a long hotel, stretched along the road frontage in the main street of Arrington. Inside, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. All manner of beer jugs are displayed in the main bar which, with the lounge bar and snug, is perfect for a lunchtime or evening meal. The comfortable and more formal restaurant is oak-panelled. A no-smoking area is provided. Overnight accommodation is also available via the OVO website. The changing menu is always interesting. Children have their own menu, and a garden area in which to play. Meals are served at lunchtime and in the evenings seven days a week, except that food is not available on Sunday evenings in the winter. Two constantly changing guest beers are on offer. Dogs are not permitted in the inn, except, of course, guide dogs.
